Old Man Kostas. Meraki!
Monsanto? There is no such company! Monsanto owns nothing, is defunct, nonexistent.

Bayer AG, a German company, acquired and integrated/absorbed Monsanto, a US company, 3 years ago and dropped use of that name. [E.g., see https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/06/04/why-monsanto-is-no-more/.]
Good point. I left the Monsanto name as most people know them to be an evil empire. I'm aware of Bayer owning the whole shebang and I'm pretty sure they buried the Monsanto name as it had a lot of negative baggage. Excellent link to post and let everyone see what's going on these days.

I think most would read Bayer and think, oh the aspirin guys! They're nice!

@Autofire :haha::rofl: I guess you want me to give you seeds to go with lineage as well. I’m not going to get bent out of shape by your request.
I have been asked that question hundreds of times and I usually just ignore it.
Anyway brother, it’s quite apparent that you have negative feelings directed at me. I’m not even going to ask you why all the negativity because I don’t give a.. xxx!
Let’s show everyone how ridiculous you are.

Im using seed junky because almost every popular strain carry his work.
You see not many people are willing to pay upward of $800 for a pack of seeds.
yeah they want wedding cake
View attachment 1369779
And I cream cake View attachment 1369778
But these are the same fools complaining about a $50 pack of seeds.
Let put in perspective. 1000 seeds @ $500 a ten pack. 1000/10 = 100. 100 packs x $500 each Total =$50,000 is that real to you?
But anywho there is a solution.
So they buy cheaper packs from secondary breeders who are simply chucking jbeezy’s work.
View attachment 1369780
if that’s too much money for you to spend, you can always go to guys like this one, or ilgm, or seedstockers and a host of other who just blatantly reverse jbeezy or anyone else’s work and sell it as if it is there own. Are you one of these guys bro?¿ View attachment 1369781
It’s quite possible that you are even too cheap for that and like to hang out in places like strainly. This is where people go to buy unknowns strains from unknown people and pretend like they are buying the real deal.View attachment 1369782
At strainLy, you can get anything at any price. Just as long as you are willing to fork over the cash. It’s crazy messes up what people will do to separate hard working people from their $$$$
But there are also places where the guys are so low, they will take a breeders work and pass it out to any one who wants it. They like to call it seed preservation. I call it cheap so and sos. Lol
View attachment 1369784
like i said earlier.. all the stuff that someone is trying convinced you that it’s so hot..so why are these guys giving it away like it’s nothing. they do the same as at chucker’s paradise, and pheno hunters.org. And practically everywhere else.
It’s guys like you bro @Autofire. Those meh guys, those dime a dozen.
When you look all over those places, see if you can find anyone with any Nympho seeds.
Brother if you want less invasive information about my breeding projects, just ask.
Better yet. how about you tell me something about the strains that you are developing ?¿. Hopefully whatever you are working will be good enough that someone beside you will want to breed it. Fact !
View attachment 1369786
Anyway peace. And Fly High with the Nympho.
Hey, this isn't Rollitup. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and your first reply back is hostile. If you can't handle being in this thread (as I've already talked to you about,) then you are no longer welcome to post.

I'll be honest, one of the members from Chuckers Paradise actually contacted me about you and this thread (where I've just read your thread there, and saw you are pulling the same shenanigans there.)

You are now reply-banned from this thread, and if I see any more blatant promotion of your genetics (that are clearly meant for sale,) you'll be removed from the forum.

Wow. I’ve never once met a breeder reticent to discuss the lineage of any of his projects. Usually, once you broach the topic, it’s hard to shut them up since they rarely get to discuss it with anyone who gives a shit.

Red flags, my friends. They don’t exist for no reason.

All this talk about the breeders. How about some responsibility of the grower and their expectations?
Unless you are growing in the same soil with the same lighting, nutrients, altitude and so many other variables, how can you expect to get the same results as the breeder? Why do your tomatoes grow different from your next door neighbors?

An issue I do have is why can't I buy a pack of seeds and have them all grow the same? But then, why do you have brown hair and your sister has blonde? Why do some twins look completely different? These are living things and not some manufactured widget. Seems to me, that about the only way to accomplish this is to buy clones that you know come from the same mom.

I do believe one of the major reasons for some breeders to do grow shows and such here is to see how their strains work under different conditions.

I saw on an episode of Growing Exposed, one big player saying how they were introducing a "pheno hunt" and customers would pay more for the "privilege" of being involved in it.

From my perspective, posting this thread here at AFN, the responsibility of the growers was a given. And I'm not looking for the "same results as the breeder". Just an honest description of the work that went into their lines. If a pic or pics are available, all the better.

Re: your variance within a pack of seeds comments, well that's more complicated. Of course seeds are each individual and you'll see more phenotypical variation in F1's and F2's of autos than in say a worked line like Anvil which is like F7 or F8 at this point. For me as a new autoflower grower, it's kind of fun seeing the different phenos in for example my pack of Sweet n Smelly from Mephisto, all with different but related terps. But yes ideally once I found a strain I really liked, I would prefer a more worked line like Anvil where most of the seeds popped are pretty predictable and the phenotypical variance is much more compressed. Short of that, I love seeing variance in say my Creme de la Chem seeds. AND I know the lineage, even if I don't specifically know what the "Stardawg Illuminati Cut" actually is.

Hope that made sense. Of course environment plays a huge factor in epigenetic expression, but then again so does genetics. And honesty in the description of the genetics is really the biggest predictor of quality from what I can divine from this thread so far.

On the subject of variety of phenos in a pack of seeds…. I actually like that. I’m a heavy medical user…..the variance among phenos is often enough to ward off the tolerance demon :haha:

Yes, I always try to caveat my grows with my stated inexperience. I absolutely love reading the grow n show threads. When I was researching my first grow I didn't consider a strain unless I could find a grow journal to read and see how things turned out. I still do and follow as many here as I can. You really get a good look at things when multiple people, with varying skill and experience, give something a run. If I can get 90g out of a grow in my 2x2 and 120W lamp I think that's a win for that strain. I'm sure some of you pro-grow cats could best that easily, but heck, I'm an old guy new grower. 90 makes me quite happy.

I'd like to give a big thanks to both @Teetee and @TaNg for their journals on the dutch passion blog. I ended up trying the Blue Mazar Auto for my very first grow ever thanks to those guys, some guidance on here, and @Autobeast for his guide.

TeeTee's grow that scared me:

Tang's:

I will say that while I think some of the big seed houses are perhaps hurting the industry a bit, they are a gateway of cheap seeds, and information, to get people interested. How many new people does something like ILGM or Royal Queen draw in? Loads? If it helps them get started, feel confident, and maybe end up here.... they could learn a lot and maybe end up supporting the smaller craft breeders in the end. I mean starting out you don't want to drop a ton of money on boutique seeds only to have poor technique, methods, and inexperience kill your interest immediately.
