Hi Guys,

Here I have a plant - Orig blueberry auto Dr Rays at day 75 from seed.

I started flushing her about a week and a half ago (she looked almost the same as she does now except a lot greener!) but she doesn't seem to be maturing as fast as I thought she would be and now half the plants leaves are starting to die back and look deficient. Have I messed up now flushing too soon? should I just chop or sit and hope for the best?

Currently about 70/80% of the hairs have turned brown and shrivelled. about 5% amber 15% clear and rest cloudy by the looks of it. Test nug with for trichome check was pulled from middle of the canopy - the tested nug I took a picture of also for comparison.

Any advise is appreciated.

Best,

Bungo

I'd say yes.. That plant still has a few weeks left before harvest. It won't mature much if it's not being fed. It's too late in the game to see any improvements so you will just have to try to get her to the finish line. I see as many clear trichs as I do cloudy.. Those pics seem to be of the trichs on leaves.. You want to be checking the trichs on the buds, not the leaves. I also see more white pistils than amber..

Thanks for reply, yea I think I chose a bad nug to test with. The more developed nugs on top do have at least 5-10% ambers on the nugs not the leaves ! >.< . Off your advise I've decided to remove some of the more dying leaves and given it a feed to see how it goes. Fortunately she has very long hair! and most of the leaves underneath are quite green still.

I stupidly started flushing this plant at the same time as my other blueberry plant assuming it was at the same stage in its life. Clearly its a couple of weeks behind. I believed most of the hairs had receded in and turned brown but during the last week way more hairs started growing again, so I clearly jumped the gun a bit...

You have demonstrated one of the problems with flushing, that is, knowing exactly two weeks ahead of time when your trichs will be just right. I do not flush for this reason among others. Starving a plant while it is trying to finish off has never made a lot of sense to me.

Well thanks guys, I finally chopped her down just over a week ago and she's now dried and trimmed.

I managed to get 157 grams dry (after trimming!) from her so I'm impressed either way! Biggest plant I've grown so far, still nice sticky dense buds, who knows how much better she could have been if I didn't flush too early but I'm still more than happy!

Maybe try compare and contrast with 2 plants next run to see the differences between the two. Btw they look great imo.
