Soil is the best medium by far. If you master the art of enriching it properly and the art of properly watering, then it will provide the best quality and the highest volume of yield, even dwarf hydroponics in quantity. Nature is not stupid but very wise. The forces of nature made the choice for us before we even existed as a species - plants grow optimally in soil. Just observe how wild plants grow and you will find the appropriate soil mix for your area. And remember that soil is a complex, interspecies ecosystem. Again observe your local wild plants to discover the optimal ecosystem interralationships between companion plants, worms, fungus and bacteria that will benefit your crop. Provide these and you will win.

The quantity vs hydro is just not true. Soil has a major limitation and that is air! Cannabis lives air to its roots almost above anything else. You will never be able to get a plant to absorb as much oxygen to and through the roots in soil as you do with dwc. A big enough res will always out produce a soil plant assuming it is grown correctly with enough O2

I gave 5 rockets to soil and 6 rockets to BRAWNDO! because it has electrolytes, its what plants crave.

I gave it a 4, but that’s because I’ve only ever grown in soil. I dropped one star as I have to pay for good “dirt” lol, stuff I can dig up for free where I live is basically solid clay!
The solid clay can work amazing if you have clay hill pile for over a 4 years sitting. I find certain spots in clean dirt hils and take dirt as I need. But, I only pick the best soft texture where it doesn't stick only crumble. That stuff grows some of the most beautiful leaves for sure. But, it's all in the proper watering technique. Makes all the difference but, it's not the best choice. A experiment with a new strain in clay would be interesting for the hell of it
