DWC water temps - too cold?

  • Well, we're still working on things and I imagine we'll see some bugs, some breaking, and things that need to get fixed. We'll start on the most critical things first and work our way down. We're still installing add-on's and squaring away some licensing stuff, but feel free to browse the board and we'll update everyone on when things are added, restored, or otherwise changed.

Water temps are fine. But 54f air temps are too low. Can you use a heater?
I have a mini space heater that can definitely take care of things. May use that, but those things are power hogs.

Bros, I hear you both saying that treating root rot is by far more popular than keeping roots and the hydroponic water quality environment healthy thus preventing roots die and decay.

That’s why very few growers ever have any sickly or rotting roots or any fungal problems… they never worry about stuff like that because it just never happens to the savvy growers. Those that do have rotting root and fungal 0ssues usually use Clorox because it’s cheap, only cost $1.00/gallon @ Wally’s and it kills everything you want dead plus it bleaches roots white again, deodorizer the stink. But, Clorox will not restore or rejuvenate the damaged roots.

Only growers that fail to keep roots and plants healthy a couple months have these problems.
