FD Runs the Telos-0008

  • Well, we're still working on things and I imagine we'll see some bugs, some breaking, and things that need to get fixed. We'll start on the most critical things first and work our way down. We're still installing add-on's and squaring away some licensing stuff, but feel free to browse the board and we'll update everyone on when things are added, restored, or otherwise changed.

90x90 is a good footprint but great results can be had in 120x120 (4x4) laters and enjoy Telos if you get one. Laters

She is beautiful , i was told to do topping to get more yield but it dosen't look like you did and still plenty of buds .?
Im a first timer and just learning . :clapper:
From my personal experience it depends on strain, for example i ve noticed dutch passion, bomb seeds strains dont need any training(except supercropping when plant is too tall - but all plants seems to love this), just trim big fan leaves and maintain. I forgot to mention that i was talking about autos. Photos from my garden some were trained(topped and formed into 4 same tall colas and when they were too tall just supercropped them) some were left untrained. Again i stick with idea it mostly depends by strain and they say dont train autos coz they dont have time to recover like photo sisters, same with cuttings from auto. I hope it will help mate.

Thank you i really appreciate the kind words. They loved the light and the environment. New soil, new nutrients, and new light all in the same grow.
Talking to GrowNorthern i was told that a 3x3 would be ideal for the light and that it would do just fine in there. Most of the 3x3 tents out there have a limited hieght. I would suggest one thing and that is if you can grab a taller 3x3 over 5 foot 5 grab it. The 4x4 might be a little big for the 0008 model.

There is no topping on this plant at all. She was left to go natural to see the plant structure. I wanted to see natural yield on this one and see what kind of space it would take up in a grow tent of this size. It all depends on the plants genetics as to see results and yields like this. Smaller plants can yield heavy with this light too, it just all depends on how its grown as well as the genetic code.

So there are a few things that i want to address with this. Youve got a mixed bag of information here.

Trimming, is OK but i wouldnt do it till later in flower. The plant uses those fan leaves as a food source and you are impacting the photosynthesis process when you cut off leaves like that. however they can be removed its just at what time they are removed. Lots of guys do it early but honestly you should wait. Allowing the plant structure to come out before removing the larger shade fans on the plant. They can assist in the growing until they are truly impacting bud development. Most of the time i tuck them out of the way until the branch passes them or just simply guide the branch through the fan until it clears it.

Autos CAN be topped and trained and not impact yield. A careful hand and staying on top of what is going on will yield you results that you can be pleased with. There are a lot of myths out there about autos that are just not true at all. The older genetics had issues with tech like this but the more recent stuff that is on the market can take it just like a photo can.
