Most people here at AFN are in the UK and the US.
If ypou are elsewhere your gonna have to search in your loacation!
I just Googled "Amazon.com Spinosad" there seems to be a numer of product that contain it.

Here are a couple which are available in Europe.
  • Edialux Conserve Garden Spinosad (I have this in my arsenal)
  • AVEVE Conserve Garden (probably the same as above, but in another package)
  • Bayer (yes I know, the devil) Spintor
  • BSI Ecopur (Ecokuur in Dutch) EcoShield

Maybe I was a bit pessimistic and angry because of them buggers, but it seems that the combo neem spray (top soil drench and a few on selected fans) + yellow sticky tabs + nematodes is working ! :smoking:

I feel so relieved lol

Now I have a doubt about my watering amount : I was told (not on AFN) when I started my garden that plants in late veg and flowering stages need to get 1/4 of the pot, mine being 11L, that's 2,75L for each.
The reason for that was to get a good run off, to get more oxygen, and to get rid of accumulated salts.

I did just that up to now, except that :
- The amnesia haze drinks a lot more than the others, I barely get run off ; should I get her more ?
- The royal dwarf on the contrary, drinks a lot less ; should I get her less ?

Anyway I know I'm doing right between watering, as the top 2 inches get dry and the pots feel light (except the dwarf).
Plus the girls don't show signs of drooping.

Thoughts ?

Have a good day friends !

I never gave 2,7 liters of water even if I have same size pots. They accept 1 liter or 1,50 max because there Is no Need to make water runoff and saturate the pots.I water when I see the Plant needs It and then,After like 30 minutes She shows the branches very turgid and pointing up.That Is my feel-it watering habit.I try to learn the needs of the plant by signal She sends

If you're using a salt based nutrient (not organic) and waiting for the pot to dry (become light) before watering .. there's every chance that the drying part is creating a salt buildup which can cause problems with plant health.

If you water "perfectly", the medium will never be waterlogged and never be dry, but always moist. Then there will be no chance for the nutes to dry and cause a salt buildup and you won't need to worry about watering to run off. (this is easier said than done)

A way around that is to use an Autopot which passively waters from the bottom with a valve that only allows the bottom of the tray to always have water available. The medium and roots then wick up the water (with feed) and the soil doesn't dry out.

You'll see a noticable difference in plant health and size using an autopot if you've previously been watering to wet and dry cycles.

I'd agree with both of those. Water slowly, in 2 sittings to let the soil absoirb the water. If it's dry, the water and feed will flow through too quickly and not hydrate the soil in all areas.

Ultimately, canna is pretty hardy and not that easy to kill  .. even when the leaves are manked and you feel like your struggling to harvest.. it still gets there.
It's the lots of minor changes you make over many grows that make the biggest difference.

Wishing you luck with the last of the grow
