The transplant was a success! I’m already seeing massive amounts of growth from last night to this afternoon. In fact, I’ve never seen this type of growth in any of my plants except the passionfruit vine. It’s been pretty cloudy over here and I’m seeing more stem stretching than leaf development. We have probably gained easily 3 inches of vertical height since the transplant. I’m going to get a fan to get these plants stems nice and strong. Not sure when I should try LST. Is it worth it to do it in a greenhouse outdoors? Anyways I planted my final three strains today. All of them are from mephisto they are ; strawberry nuggets, alien vs. triangle, and some mystery freebie labeled DBC x Sour Bubbly. Excited to see my babies hatch soon and to transplant the remaining three under the light. I suppose 10 plants is a lot for a first grow but that’s just how I do things. I will take some pictures soon to share. :smoking:

DBC could be Deep Blue C. So i guess a new cross without a fancy name yet.
What I've read, LST should do no harm in any environment, if is done properly. Unless you break a stem, you should only gain. So go for it and keep us updated.:goodluck:
Will do! I’m pumped on this freebie it was the largest of all the beans. Not sure how much that matters in the long run.
Thanks for the info on LST and support. I think I’ll try it on some of them soon. :smoking:

I only grow outdoors and I love some lst, I think it really helps to reduce the amount of popcorn due to lack of light and increase yield a little  I have a strawberry nuggets running at the moment also I think it really benefited from some lst....I also fimed it. Great to hear your transplant went well, a lot of people say that you shouldn't transplant autos. I've transplanted every plant I have grown and not noticed any I'll effects or slowing of growth so long as it's timed right :toke:.

You sound like my kind of guy! I definitely love the sunshine and being able to take advantage of all the sunny days I have in SoCal. I noticed on some of my plants the start of little pistils. I’m going to start LST today as some of the nodes I can see have some growth wanting to pop through. I will have pictures if I have time today. I’d love to know more about how you grow outdoors and any tips you have. :smokeit:

It's update time! So I tried my hand on LST today. I used these little irrigation tube holders and some soft rubber coated wire. They seemed to bend quite easily but no snapping occurred. I also transplanted my three under the light to outside. (Smoothie, Fantasmo Express, and Big Devil XL) Big Devil has a mutation and had a little of root damage happen when transplanting. I probably was just too excited and didn't allow the medium to fully saturate. We will see what happens. My three Mephisto seeds just broke ground and seem to be happy so far. (Strawberry Nuggets, DBC x Sour Bubbly, and Alien vs Triangle) I am really pleased with the germination method I chose (just putting it in the soil) and am happy with the rate I am getting them started. The bigger plants seem a little leggy right now (I think its because its June gloom here) hopefully they will bulk up soon. I am seeing the beginnings of pistils on my four big ones which is awesome yet a little daunting.

Here is the wire and irrigation tubes I used.

Here is how I secured them down

Final Result of LST. If you have any tips I am open to advice even if its criticism! How do you think I did??
Thanks for reading my grow journal so far. It really helps me to write this stuff down because most the time I can't even remember what and when I did things!

Nope
Looks really good. Plants will bend towards the light very quickly. The spot where you have them tied will become the bend. I might move the tie up to the node so that then bend occurs there. Only my personal preference and not really anything to stress about. There may be a few more opinions so see how that plays out before any changes. I enjoy commenting but never make any drastic changes based on my or any one persons thoughts. Great community here so grab as many opinions as you can and then always decide what makes you comfortable.

:woohoo: :pighug: :headbang: Launched! -- and very well too Annie, nicely done- :greenthumb:.... let me back-track a bit here...
-- the original seeds germ'ed, are they all auto's? 00 Seeds, one of the companies I've not seen much about, I do recall a while back some quality issues (germ', weird pheno's).. All i can say if at this this point, if they have not stood out here, there's likely a reason...... I do grind over germ' fails! I tried some old stock this round, an amazing ahead-of-it's-time auto by the now defunct HighRise, GHz99,... had some older parent plant C99a too, some of those were misfires = but got a couple going finally!
.....great score on the 'Phisto's! Interesting, Deep Blue C is back as a parent,.. that was one of their very first strains, well regarded too... SN is really really delish' by all reports, knock-down nite-nite stuff! I can't wait to run her myself, she's in queue for next round.... AvsT is a legend :dizzy:....FEx is superb too, that girl will have you cleaning bathrooms at 2am-
... So, 10 plants should see you busy for a bit-- just wait until mid-late bloom, when they have separated from each other in development, you'll be making different meals for some!

Soils, did we chat about this? If not, bare in mind my cautions about FF soils,... OF especially... and look into getting that Accurate 8 soil pH probe, or identical unit under a different brand name, this is w worthy investment... FF soils have been commonly problematic for a while now, some OK bags, other a hot mess,... HF tends to be better, so fingers crossed for this round, if they are OK so far, that's a good sign! Do you have a pH meter? For shits and giggles, you can do a basic slurry test with soil out of the bags, very simple: take about 1/4+ cup of soil, add in the same amount plus a bit more of RO water (must be low ppm to not skew readings), mix and let sit for 1/2hr... Some tests call for a 1:1 soil to water, other 1:2 soil:water; I thing too much water dilutes things too much, making the pH less accurate for what's in-pot,.... Strain liquid off and test! ......... next time, since your in CA like me, look for Sanctuary Soils, Victory Mix or Empire Builder (richer, not for seedlings), vastly superior and worth the extra $!

>> I saw the asymmetrical leaf mutie, nothing to sweat there...
>> transplant went well! I'm stoked that tutorial was helpful...

>> They all look to be happy girls Annie, LST is smart! That spongy tie is good stuff, I use it too, especially on the larger photo girls where some string force is applied; thinner stuff can cut, scrape, slip,...

:smokeout: :goodluck: betcha can't wait for bloom to be on! oh, the selection of aromas, sights,... so much porn! better start working on your flash photography skills, we have hig standards for bud shots here!

WOW you were right! I just came back after a couple hours and they already have bent back into upright shape! I always take advice with a grain of salt when I can. Thanks for following along with my grow so far:bighug:!
