I'm currently at day 31 with lsd25 autoflower in 2 gallon autopots running only super soil and 1tsp Calmag per gallon. I noticed these spots on just one of my plants and after looking at diagnostic charts, still couldn't come up with an answer. Any ideas from the pros? Much appreciated

Dabs of Rosin.
They look hungry to me but we need more information.

Please fill in this form: (copy and paste part is below, this first one tell what specifically to include)

-Problem: (brief description)
-Medium/grow method: soil; soilless-- coco, or peat based like Promix, etc. (please provide the actual product name); DWC, NFT, etc.
-Feed and supplements used: include brand, dosage/strength, frequency of feeding and watering (alone); method-- by hand, drippers, rercirc' or drain-to-waste,... N-P-K #'s too if you can!
-Water source: RO/DI; tap- dechlorinated-?..... EC or TDS reading; pH (don't bother with this on RO/DI, do bother with TDS/EC though to confirm it's working well enough)
-Strain and age
-Climate:
night and day ambient T and RH%; res' temperatures; any extremes in T/RH% exposure
- Light used: HID, LED, COB, combo of,... wattage; light cycle hours (20/4, 18/6 , etc.); distance to tops....
-Additional info: PH in the root zone. How long have the plants been affected?...How fast did symptoms appear?... Anything else you think might be relevant.

--Pictures including WHOLE PLANT PICS, and troubled leaves.. use normal light or flash as other light sources ruin color rendering, critical for diagnostics!

A couple of things, Kind says not to add anything to their method other than water. The cal-mag is a big problem.
tox-lockout.jpg

Calcium is throwing their nutrients out of balance and locking out K, MG and B.

The other problem is RH is too low 50% would be better for the plant stage you are in.

I really do not know where to go from here @Waira Have you ever run into this before? Should he just do a major flush and then try to rebalance the nutrients like it is a coco grow?

Is that just coco with perlight or soil with nutes?

You need to go look at Kind Soil's web site. It is a method of growing with their soil with stratified layers of other materials. There are some peeps on here that like the method but if it goes wrong it is hard to fix. Or at least for me it seems hard to fix.

Thanks so much for the help! I was really hesitant about adding the Calmag as per kind soils instructions, but last year I ran into a problem that the community diagnosed as calcium deficiency from the leds. I added Calmag and it fixed the issue right away. Since then I've been running low dose Calmag in the reservoir from start to finish. I think this might be a ph issue, as covid has emptied our local shelves of distilled water which I usually use without any problems. I'm terrible with diagnostics, it's still just the one plant showing signs, and it hasn't progressed much more, so I'm going to keep an eye on it before I do anything too hasty. I'll update with pics in hopes it will supply any clues. Hope everybody has a fun and safe memorial day weekend!

After checking the tent today, it does appear to be progressing rather rapidly. I'm not sure how to proceed as I can't really flush since all the nutes from the kindsoil would run out the bottom, and I'm hesitant to make any radical changes since the other plant seems to be doing fine. I know from my early days of growing that I can probably limp through harvest, but at what cost to yield is my main concern. As Man O Green stated, I suppose fixes with this system are tricky at best, but when it's dialed in, it's a really simple and effective system for running plants on autopilot.

The plants look hungry overall. What water are you using and what is the quality PH, PPM, Chloramines? You need to know the PH in the root zone ASAP.
We recommend an Accurate 8 soil probe or the clone of it.

This is a tough call. It does seem to be progressing rapidly for a soil grow. You see this speed all the time in hydro but you can fix it just as fast.

If you feel you will lose the crop; the last ditch resort is a major flush. 200% flush followed with 150 PPM of Cal-Mag and 400 PPM of what ever balanced nutrients you are running and Mykos or any other beneficial organisms you have. PH 6.4

Keep me posted. :goodluck:
