  • We're looking for grower submissions for any autoflowers that they have had tested by a lab or using a home testing device. The idea is to create a grouping of tests that we can use a resource to show growers (both new and experienced) what kind of cannabinoids and terpenes some of the strains we're growing are testing out with!

I am doing my fist full indoor grow for autos. This has been a long time coming as I've had a hard time finding a grow space. Anyhow here are the details. Today I will be germinating 1 of each of the following seeds:
Mephisto freebie Man Bear Alien Pig x 3 Bears OG
Fastbuds Green Crack
Barney's Farm Skittlez OG

These are all autos. I'll be growing in a 2x4x5 grow tent. I'll be using Roots Organic Green Lite mixed with Nature's Living Organics auto flower super soil mix.

My light will be an HLG 260V2 quantum board. This is my first grow indoors from start to finish. First time using this light or any of these strains. Last year I started so autos indoors and put them outside and that was a learning experience. We will leave it at that .

Yesterday I got the tent set up. Today I'll mount the light and carbon filter. Here is a pic of what I have so far. I'll keep pics coming as often as I can. IMG_20200125_173034.jpgIMG_20200125_173047.jpg

I got my light mounted today. I have a ph pen because i was thinking about growing in coco at some point. I know a lot of people say you don't need to ph you water in soil but since i already have citric acid i figured I would try phing a couple of gallons of water tonight. It's pretty darn easy so I will be watering with a ph between 6.5 and 6.8 for this soil grow. My water's natural ph is around 7.2 so i'm not changing it a lot. It is also well water. I am not on the city water here. I will also try watering a few times with some molasses to feed the soil micro biology. I'm not sure how often I should be doing this.

I germinate my seeds in the large burpee peat pellets meant for tomatoes. I use a heating mat under the propagation tray. I will move these seedlings to their final pots a few days after I see leaves. I know most people say to start them in their final pots but this germination method works so well for me I hate to mess things up now by going away from something I am used to.

Ok so this is probably a little late but I figured I would tell you guys a little bit about myself. I'm 40 years old... And I want to grow organically. I'm not an organic nut... And I have nothing against synthetic nutrient guys... I just find the organic, "living soil" thing very interesting... I actually did an auto indoor grow back in 2010. I grew purple Ryder indoors in a home made cabinet. The plants were supposed to stay under 12 inches and they did. The end result was weak and not worth the trouble. This experience turned me off autos. Well fast forward to now... I live in an area where outdoor growing isn't easy. Well I had heard that autos were much better now... So I thought I'd buy some autos to start indoors and put outside to finish in the nice summer weather... Before crappy fall weather hit. This had some mixed results. But I saw potential and the smoke was much improved over the autos from 10 years ago.

So I have decided to try growing autos indoors. And I went all in and even overboard buying enough auto seeds to last me for years. IMG_20200125_120257.jpg
My new goal now is to get good enough growing indoors to pull 2-3 ounces per plant with the right auto genetics... And eventually use fem seed spray to self some of my better strains and make my own seed stock to keep going.

Ok so the Skittlez OG and the Green Crack have sprouted. Still waiting for the MBAPx3BOG to sprout but I am confident it's will be soon. I haven't hooked up the exhaust fan yet. The temps in the tent are in the high 80's so I think I'll be good when I get the exhaust fan in...

My humidity is in the low to med 20's so I ordered a programmable humidifier on Amazon. It will be here Monday.
