Hi guys,

First let me introduce myself.
I am MedicinalGrower, 34 years of age and as you might hint from my name, a Medicinal grower.
My wife has autism, and I grow for her to help her not get over-stimulated by sensory issues.
The 2 strains that work good for her, are Royal Queen Seed's Pain killer XL and Stress Killer CBD (both about 1:1 THC:CBD).

Sometimes I do grow other strains just to see what the effects are for her.
Last time I grew a Easy Bud (also RQS). I noticed that around harvest time the Trichomes on the plant where in different stages depending on where you checked on the plant.
For example, on the main bud top the trichomes where, I would say 30-40% amber and the rest cloudy, but on the side of the same bud, they were 20-30% clear and rest cloudy.

What do you think is the best way to go in this case? According to the top of the bud, it was almost over-ripe, but if you check the side of the same bud, it still needs some time..

Picture 2 is inspected on the top of the bud as indicated on the image, the third picture is shot on the side of the same bud as indicated..
Excuse me for the quality of the images.. It are screen grabs from video..

You don't have to take it down all at once. Do a staggered harvest.

Thanks for your reply.

I don't think it is a good idea to just cut off the tip of the main bud to let the rest of the same bud ripen further...
I am not really talking about different bud sites that are ripening differently, but this difference in ripeness is present in 1single bud...

You can either stager your harvest, very normal when lowers are not recieving the light the uppers get. Many many harvests I've had to do this.
Your other option is training. Won't work for a current run, but this is one of the reasons you see growers working for a flat, even canopy. Even our best lighting peters out pretty quick, so letting plants run natural let's the main get the majority of the lighting energy, and the lowers are out of the premium range.

Looks like your looking at the sugar leaves. Trichs on caylx, not sugar leaves... leaves ripen early.

Thanks for the reply @Arthur,
I have trained this plant. The image as you see here is taken on a slight angle, so the main bud seems to be towering over the others, but in reality it is not this exaggerated.
I also use the sugar leaves in the process, so the state of those trichs are also important to me, so I guess I need to find a balance on this.

I could go for a staggered harvest for the satellite buds and harvest the main cola earlier.

Thanks for the advice!
