Thanks for the reply Man! So I assume if I get the humidity up I should take the dome off?
Domes are both good and bad. They help keep the soil from drying out during germination and a high humid space for the seedling - this is good. They have a tendency to get too warm inside and too humid, this in turn creates an environment for many pathogens to grow as well and often leads to damping off - this is bad. Remove them as soon as you can but have the RH up in the space 70% is good first couple of days then 40% to 60% til harvest. Do the best you can they are weeds they will survive a lot. Then plan for the next time. I have many tools in my grow space.

Ya this whole paying attention for humidity levels is new to me. Usually just throw it outside and you can't control the environment. I growed photos all summer with really low humidity levels.

I would have to say, the most important thing i have learned about autos after one outdoor grow, is to get the most out of your autos, the key is to controll the environment, which you CAN DO indoors. That is how you can grow the monster auto, of coarse great genetics is the other part of that equation.
@Mañ'O'Green rookie question, if I reply to your quote, does it notify you like how it does if I do the @Mañ'O'Green ?

Also do you have any idea how much the towel in a water bucket will raise the humidity levels? I'm guessing maybe a 10% increase is about the best possible scenario. Please correct me if I'm wrong, that is just a guess.

Huge thanks for you help gro bro!:baked:

Yes we are on a learning adventure together. It is an awesome responsibility to become mother nature to your plants. I am humbled by the continuous needs of the plants that grow at our indulgence. I preach but I learn new stuff every day as you will. Do not forget to open the tent and commune with your plants we both need it.

I have no f'in idea how much that will raise the RH in your space just do it and see. :aha:

Have fun. Fun is the only thing in life you cannot have too much of. (quote from my dad).

Oh yeah both method tag me!

Doobies and Vapes....
Hello dude....I don't use humidity domes after the seedling has breached, the towel with the bucket trick should do, what is the idea behind the plastic bags round the pots?......as your plant gets bigger and when you water those big pots....all this will add humidity to your grow room/tent.....The plants will expel a lot of moisture as they photosynthesis.

The bags are there until I get some real plant saucers to collect any water that could drip out the bottom.

Day 1 for the Jack, day two for the Green Crack. It appears the fan blowing on the /towel/bucket/water along with turning my exhaust off for now has fixed my humidity issue. They are looking good with 1 autocob sitting at 29". I lower it 2" today and will sit there for a bit.

Well the answer to the humidity increase is 30%. Shut the flap to the tent and turned the exhaust off. Added a bucket of water with a towel and a fan and my humidity level went up from 28% to 58% in 24 hours. It could be a little higher but I'm in a way better spot now. Temps are great at 74F.
