Alright, finally I can update. Got the growroom repaired mostly and have a little time to get some pics! I've decided on my plant for the final pics. Of the two Landrace Mazar iSharif, one is only just now flowering. The other is about three weeks into flower and building buds like mad! I htink she's going to give a hefty harvest! Beautiful plants, I'm glad for the opportunity to grow these plants. I think of their origin every time I go look at them. And from the Mazar autos I've grown, Mazar is THE best Indica bud I've smoked/vaped, bar none, so I can't wait to stuff a bud of these girls into the Herbalaire!

Update
Doing final defoliation and plant manipulation.

Fire og kush mother #1
It took 4 hour's to de-leaf and remanipulate this girl. She was 8' ft at her highest point. I was able to pull her down to 6' 5" . Still a little stretch left to go. But dont expect too much more.
Buds on all the fires are forming nicely.

Fire og kush clone #2
I haven't got a chance to get to this girl yet for trimming..We just started in the cage. I called in my best body trimmer to give me a hand. I have to get up north to water the girls up there right away.

This girl got trimmed a little less, do to it's differences and genetic structure compared to the Original Seed. It still has the seven finger Leafs. But some of them newer leaves that are coming on our only six fingers many of them. The bud sites on this plant are a little further apart per node. The stems are stronger branches are stronger everything is a little stronger on this plant compared to it's breeder mother predecessor. This plant is mostly self-supporting. Where the original breeder seed is much more floppy for lack of a better word.

The whole garden is in full bloom. Some of the plants in the cage Garden have great looking Bud sites and I wish that I might have put one of them into the competition too. I might have had more fun with the strawberry Sour Diesel from Devil's Harvest. Big girl....
I was trimming on that last night and it has such a nice decaying strawberry and citrus smell. And the buds structures that look like branches of little Tritton Warheads...

Ask if you wanna know
Nice looking plots this run guys...
I love this.
I’m thinking I pushed these things a lil much for the small root mass.. maybe less ppms with more feeds?
And my gawd the frizzy smells today like a citrus cheese smell
Would that be the Frisian dew? (Did some research, no...)

The big foxy is down and drying..
Went to check on it see if it’s moist still.
All good, but it smells like a dinner now lol from sweet to savoury wtf is this? I’ve never had this

For hash Do you guys snip, vacuum seal and freeze or dry, cure, freeze?
trim gets dried on Chinet paper plates, which does some nice wicking of moisture because they aren't plastic sealed over the surfaces... I cover the plate with a paper napkin, paper clip it secure... Then into the freezer when just short of crumbly-dry. All of it get turned into dry ice hash, so low moisture is critical!
His theory is very basic, but I think there is a lot more to explore and possibly take advantage of. I'll just call it BAS EarthBox, because it does go completely away from what EarthBox recommends in media and operation. Once the root system sends out enough roots to explore all the sides of the EB, you can add water to the rez. You can then top dress, dry or wet. This is the start of the process of the plant basically utilizing the root system as two different systems. One that uptakes water from the rez and the other that takes nutes from the media and with top dressing, mainly the top. Letting the rez and the roots go dry for a short period doesn't hurt the roots and helps the media to not go anaerobic.
Now, that a very simplified and generalized way of explaining what Jeremy thinks is happening and it does make sense to me. The plant can take up water without the need to take up nutes along with it.............hence easier to avoid, to some degree, over feeding. The roots gathering nutes for the plant can progress into freshly added compost mixed with nutes as the plant needs. Most of the nutes I'm using now are very readily available, especially with all the microbial activity I strive to maintain. I've examined the mounded up compost slurry. I don't see the huge root intrusion I've seen in other's grows and my first one. The roots are there, just the fine, I call 'em exploratory, roots. They are not there in large quantities, and there's not the large feeder roots either.

With the size of the plant and the relative size of the material in the pot, you would think the roots would be all thru the media and on the surface. It's just not there. I'm sure it's thick down below the surface, but it is a pretty good bit below the surface. This says to me that once this 'system' is up and running, the plant is not forced to take up nutes to get the water it needs. I think this lets the plant take up the nutes as it needs them.

This doesn't mean the roots in the water can't take up nutes or the opposite.

Maybe I'm totally wrong.

It's what makes any sort of sense to me. I know it sounds odd, but there's not any other grow method that can develop such a system. If this is pretty much factual of what's happening in the root structure, it does bring up some interesting things. I don't think you can drive nute uptake by driving VPD higher, at least not to the same extent.
Hmmm, this sounds like a distinct possibility,.. I wish I knew more about nute ion uptake physiology, but it's actually pretty complex and site specific. All the in and out's of the action down there have to balance both pH and net charge within the plant. Ions going in are swapped with H+/OH- going out in equal charge values...
Water gets in by more way than one, and doesn't not involve "charge swapping" since it's net-neutral....
I'm not sure how selective, if at all, the uptake of nute ions is,.. some like N I know go in no matter what, needed or not, and while some can be stored, too much kicks off toxicity, same with others I believe...
I've wondered how VPD and overly fast action of that can affect nute transport, and if it can force too much uptake and again, kick off toxicity issues because of the log-jam rapid build-up. It can sure look like it, especially at the margin teeth tips where some larger "plumbing" exits to facilitate water removal (think guttation)

... this usually is a night thing, when stomata are closed and the root pressure is still pushing water up and out; this bleeds it off.... but a high n ute ion load may cause localized build-up and start that tip burn symptom!

@Waira that LBH and garlicane are looking pretty pretty nice
 as opposed to really pretty nice?
Pics of well grown Garlicane are crazy for resin, she smothers even small fans locally, and literally obscures the colors underneath them on sugars and buds... Funky aromas usually, meaty, savory, herbal, BO, some dairy too I'm seeing...
LBH girl looks very promising, resins are building quickly now, abundantly and it's early still! She's an unknown altogether, only her auto parent is something I've seen grown before. His auto work was ahead of it's time several years ago...
I just started making dry ice hash and my first effort was with last years crop. So the bud had cured for a year. Check out Frenchy Cannolis YouTube’s or Bubble Bowls
:greencheck: Bubble Bowls are fantastic, no better small batch system made IMO!
SDHz auto and auto Haze are excellent and top grade to this day! We have a whole test thread here, with some solid tips to improve on what they show in their vid's...

Water and nute uptake is very interesting subject. EarthBoxes only adds to the subject.

I love my bubble bowls! Very easy to use and clean up

Doesn't using very dry material increase the amount of plant matter in your dry ice hash? Trim with at least some moisture in it and frozen I would think would crumble less.

That’s what I thought, using ground up material also. Which is why I was thinking whole nugs run lol... but I find dryice hash does that anyway with the plant material, always greenish [CHAT=][/CHAT] wtf is that? Where’d that come from? Chat chat?
