I chopped 4 of my girls last week and tried the brown paper bag method to dry. (first time using this method)This was working good I thought until I moved my bags to a different spot in my house. After about 5 days I was suprised that they felt too dry. I popped them in jars and the one jar's hydrometer read 53%, so I popped a 65% boveda pack in there and now it reads 66%
The other jar was even lower, at 45% and after 12 hours with a 65% boveda pack, it's up to 64%. Did I ruin anything?
Should I keep the jars closed without burping them since they are in the curing range? If so, how long should I leave them in there? Did I screw it up? Will the buds be potent or have I killed off that chance? The buds look great and have super bag appeal (through the jars) but this is my 4th grow and I am finding drying to be the hardest part by far due to the very hot and humid climate I love in. Even inside with the air conditioning I'm in the low 80's for temp and 50% for humidity ... Please somebody let me know if these buds are still smoke able or potentially smokable ? Thanks!!
Plur~

You should open the jars every day and let some fresh air in for about an hour. The main thing is not to let them get moldy from to much mosture. If they feel soft they should be taken out of the jar and left to dry a little and then put back in the jar.

I'm not worried about mold, as they were veryyyy dry coming out of the paper bags, now I'm just trying to figure out if curing and 65% boveda packs can improve my dry buds and have them still be potentially potent :)

I do have a few questions? People talk about "rh", relative humidity, how do I figure out relative humidity?

What is the preferred humidity and / or temp for drying ?

I may try that method, and I'm open to more opinions and feedback as well :)

from what I've read those packs are amazing for "Long cure" ..
Ur doing ok m...
Those Packs have set u in a safe zone which alot of the process needs ....
I've used them and had alot of success so far ...so
Sit back smoke some and as it goes for about 30 days u will get a very nice cure ...
If you can really hold out let some "Cure" in the jar like so for 45 days and see what you think ...
I took notes like it was school homework ...
Even when u grow if u pick a chunk of say Half the plant and let another part go those buds with extra time will be a different smoke ...

I think from the research part and doing a few grows with them it worked out ok ...
